In 2020 we purchased an Infinity Wheel for our school to assist student regulation. The Infinity Wheel offered us a rhythmic repetitive activity combined with strength work that our students couldn’t usually get unless they had support to collect equipment and use it safely. The Infinity Wheel is a piece of equipment that is available to all students, all the time and is also used for fun during break times.

We did a fair bit of coaching initially around how to use the equipment safely and how it can be incorporated into our Ready to Learn Plans. Students seem to be drawn to it even if it’s only for a minute or two. Being able to adjust the resistance has also been great for engaging students of all ages and skill levels, whilst also making it versatile in how it is used.

We find that students who are frustrated, ‘bored’ or need a movement break are the regulars utilising the infinity wheel. It has had some unexpected benefits too; very popular with students with learning difficulties, students in our special classes, students who had nothing to do and students who didn’t like running around are often found using it at break times.

Luke and the team were prompt with installation and quick to respond if we’ve had any queries or questions. We have been so impressed by the first product from Luke and the team at Push Pull and Play and are looking forward to what they come up with next.
